Hey there!
I’m Haley, a free-spirited traveler who left behind my professional career to pursue a life of adventure and inspire others to explore the world.
I grew up in a big family that moved often, and I found myself calling eight different states in the US “home.” Constantly adapting to new places, cultures, and people became second nature to me. These unique experiences molded me at a young age to embrace change, stay curious, and create genuine connections wherever I go.
However, it was during my study abroad experience living with a host family in Barcelona that truly sparked my passion for travel. Living abroad, I embraced countless firsts: my first time in Europe, my first solo trip, and my first taste of independence without family or friends by my side. This experience not only opened my eyes to different lifestyles and places but also fueled my desire to travel the world, challenge myself, and step outside of my comfort zone.
From that moment on, I made it a point to book an international trip every year. After graduating college, my boyfriend, Shane, and I embarked on a 2.5-month backpacking trip throughout Southeast Asia. We trekked to Everest Base Camp, got scuba diving certified, learned to surf, and marveled at breathtaking landscapes.
As much as we loved the travel lifestyle, we felt the tug of responsibility and decided to pursue corporate careers, temporarily placing our travel dreams on hold. Despite the limited time off, we made the most of every opportunity, indulging in weekend getaways and even celebrating our love with a destination wedding in Mexico.
Most recently, I found myself working as a creative director at a cutting-edge marketing agency. While the role was stimulating, my heart yearned for the days of endless exploration. I realized that true fulfillment comes from following my passions and doing what makes me feel alive. So, I took the leap, left my job, and decided to chase my dreams.
With Happily Haley, I am sharing travel guides, packing essentials, content creation tips, videos, and photography that showcase the best places to sip, savor, and stay around the globe. I am beyond excited for this new adventure and I can’t wait to share all of my travel tips & tricks with you!
